The Conococheague DAR Chapter is a lineage society that supports the objectives of the National Society of the DAR: historic preservation, education, and patriotism. In 2007-2008, the Conococheague Chapter celebrated its 75th anniversary. Other program highlights included the following: co-hosting of the "Good Citizenship Tea" with the Antietam Chapter to honor outstanding high school students in Washington County; trip to the NSDAR Library in Washington D.C., support of veterans, and attendance at national and state events such as the Maryland Founders' Day meeting and state conference.
